My job requires to perform work on office provided desktop on which i don’t have administrator privileges. That machine automatically locks the desktop in case of a one minute of inactivity due to security. This bothers in certain situations where i am in the middle of a presentation. I was looking for a tool which can resolve this problem. There are many free utilities available on the net which can do this job but they are available as executable files. But the issue is I cannot receive/send an executable file on my official email as they were blocked.
MouseMover is a tiny tool written in Java language is a good choice in the situations mentioned above. MouseMover is a very small tool which moves the mouse every 10 seconds if your screen is inactive. Handy tool to prevent the screensaver from starting, locking the desktop when in the middle of a presentation. The application is displayed as icon inside the System Tray. Please not this tool might not work if the system tray is disabled on your windows and your system doesn’t have Java installed. If you know how to program using java, you can tweak the tool according to your requirements. Since the tool is developed in Java, it can work on any operating system.
Using the tool is very simple. Just download the tiny JAR file, and keep it on your desktop. Double click on the JAR file to start executing. The program sits on your Windows system tray. You can Active/InActive/Exit the tool by right clicking on the program icon in the system tray.
