Recently i attended a seminar at my workplace on investing plan and scope for the next financial year. The seminar was conducted to brief the users about the growth of Real Estate sector in India and other options to make investment. The major focus was on real estate RealEstate Investmentthough other options like investing in PPF (Public Provident Fund), Bonds, ULIPs etc., were touched during the seminar. Here are some main points of this seminar from my notebook…

  • Real Estate continues to be one of the favorite investments of Indian investors at least for the next couple of years
  • Investment can be either in Residential or Commercial properties
  • Invest in commercial properties rather than residential to get more from your investment
  • Investment in Real Estate is primarily for the self stay or for investment purposes
  • The major boost for the real estate is because of the available Tax Benefits
  • Make sure have a cap of 35% of your overall portfolio while investing in Real Estate
  • Take a joint loan with your spouse which allows you both to claim for tax benefits
  • Never take high loans, Cap the total load amount at 40% of your income
  • Make sure you have sufficient cash in hand at any point of time

  1. Hi Chaks, so good topics. It’s really very important question that real estate is asset or invest. I think it is both. When you will face any financial problem, then it will be your assets. And if you want to do business, then it’s a business.
