Whenever you copy some data using Ctrl+C or using standard menu option, windows stores it in a temporary location called Clipboard. But the limitation with the default windows clipboard is it overwrites the previously copied data when you copy the data next time, and the data on the clipboard would be wiped out once you logoff or shutdown your computer. In my earlier posts i have covered couple of freeware clipboard managers like ArsClip and Ditto which are a better alternative to windows default clipboard. These clipboard managers would store the data you copied and it can be retrieved at a later time. I often use a clipboard managers when working on the blog and on my regular project related activities.

Multi Clipboard Recorder is a free Windows Clipboard Manager software with multilingual support. All the clipboard entries would be recorded and later retrieved from the GUI of this tool. You can restore these clipboard entries by clicking history entries. You can directly install the tool to a portable USB device. I am able to copy different kinds of data including the unicode characters to this clipboard. Whenever you select a previously copied item from the left panel of the main window, the item automatically copied back to windows clipboard. You can also segregate the clipboard entries into different categories like Pictures, URLs, Text, etc., Just select the Category and start copying the data, it would be kept under the current focused Category. It also supports drag & drop of clipboard entries between categories.
