Google Music is about discovering, purchasing, sharing and enjoying digital music in new, innovative and personalized ways. It is a cloud-based music service which is very similar to the other online music stores like Apple iTunes and Amazon MP3. It is supported by big music players like Sony Music Entertainment, Universal amounting to a total of over 10 million tracks in the music store. It is free to all users and can be accessed through the web, desktop and mobile devices, but this service is currently only available in United States but wait, there is a start-up version available in India too. Google Music also allows the automatic backing up of iTunes and most other music files. Though it is available only in United States currently, you can always access it using any VPN or webproxy services. I have covered few free VPN services earlier on TechSmartLife.

The Google Music tour is having nice piano kind of interface which gives a pleasant music when you mouse over it. You should try that once.
In India you can access the music directory by accessing Google India Music. This is not a full fledged music service like music.google.com described above. Google India has tie up with few online music players like in.com, saavn and saregama. You can listen thousands of full songs from different languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam,Kannada from these vendors through Google India Music page.
